McAfee Secure url shortner for firefox & chrome

McAfee recently entered into race of URL shortening named "McAF.ee".  The draw back is that to shorten a URL one has to enter the McAfee Secure URL shortner home page every time.

To over come this problem there is a add-on for both Google Chrome & Firefox.

McAfee Secure URL Shortner for Mozilla Firefox:

After installing this add-on, right-click on the page or any links in the page & select Shorten with mcaf.ee as shown in the above image. Selecting this menu item will then display the shortened url and copy it to your clipboard for easy pasting into email, chat, or other correspondence.

The shortened mcaf.ee link will help others know the link you post is secure. This extension uses the mcaf.ee service which utilizes McAfee’s Global Threat Intelligence information. The mcaf.ee service allows users to create short URLs, which are checked against McAfee’s GTI databases prior to being shown to the end-user.

Add on for Google chrome:

In chrome you can click the add-on present on top of tool bar to get shortened URL. The draw back is that one cannot create short URL to the links present inside the page.
